Emily Nelson

Emily is a provisionally registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and is completing a Masters in Professional Psychology. Emily has experience working with children, young people, young adults and families across a range of mental health settings. This has involved working with a range of presenting concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, trauma, adjustment to major life changes or events, social and relationship issues, schooling issues, anger and aggression, sleeping difficulties, grief and loss, neurodiversity, and Addiction. Emily is passionate about providing an individualised approach that is tailored to a person’s unique situation, focusing on client strengths, while still being grounded in evidence based practice. Emily is trained in a range of psychological interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and aims to provide a warm and approachable environment to support and empower individuals and families to cultivate their goals, overcome adversity, and reach their full potential.
