Amanda is a registered psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia and has completed a Masters in Professional Psychology. Amanda has experience working with children, young people, emerging adults and families across a range of settings including youth mental health services and the child protection system. This has involved working with young people with a range of presenting concerns including anxiety, stress, depression, abuse and trauma, adjustment to major life changes or events, social and relationship issues, suicidal ideation, self-harming behaviours, schooling issues, anger and aggression, sleeping difficulties, grief and loss, sexuality and gender diversity, and parenting as a young adult. Amanda strives to provide an individualised approach that is tailored to a young person’s unique situation while still being grounded in evidence based practice. She is trained and experienced in a range of psychological interventions including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT) and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Amanda aims to provide a warm and authentic approach to support and empower individuals and families to cultivate strengths, overcome adversity, and reach their full potential.
